Diana Matheson grew up playing hockey and soccer for her hometown of Oakville, Ontario. Starting her national team career in 2003 with Canada’s women’s team, Diana has: earned the distinction of being Canada’s second most capped player in history, participated in 4 FIFA Women’s World Cups, 3 Pan American Games and 2 Olympic Games. Matheson started her professional soccer career after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where she went overseas to play for LSK Kvinner Football Club, Norway’s professional women’s league. She continued playing for them during 2009, 2010, and 2012 seasons.
According to Diana, her proudest moments include: “being a part of the team that qualified for the Olympics for the first time in Canadian soccer history; earning a Bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games; and representing Canada at a World Cup on home soil in 2015.” – DianaMatheson.ca
